Independent Compliance Audits.

When store staff check their own shelves, problems get missed or covered up. Our auditors don't work for the store and don't report to its managers, so the findings can't be compromised. Head office gets an honest picture of every branch.

What we audit

  • Expired and short-dated stock on shelf and in back rooms
  • Stock rotation (FIFO) and date-label visibility
  • Fridge and freezer temperatures and cold-chain storage
  • Product labelling and shelf pricing
  • Recalled products removed from sale
  • Back-room storage, hygiene and pest signs

Why it holds up

  • Independent: no link to store staff or management
  • Unannounced: visits are not scheduled with the store
  • Evidence-based: time-stamped photos for every finding
  • Scored: a compliance score per store, region and category
  • Straight to head office: reports go to you, not the branch
  • Actioned: expired stock removed and logged on the spot

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Why use an independent compliance auditor?
When store staff check their own shelves, problems can be missed or covered up. Our auditors have no link to branch staff or management and report directly to head office.
Are the audits announced?
No. Visits are unannounced, so the audit shows the store as shoppers see it.
What standard do you audit against?
A 22-point checklist across date control, stock rotation, cold chain, labelling and pricing, recalls and quarantine, and hygiene and storage, based on the Consumer Protection Act (sections 23, 24 and 55) and the food hygiene (R638) and labelling (R146) regulations.
Does this replace a municipal health inspection?
No. Our audits are private and independent. They help you stay compliant between official inspections but do not replace a municipal Certificate of Acceptability.
What do we receive after an audit?
A scored report per store with photos for every finding, category scores and branch comparisons for head office.
