082 Sales Website – Go-Live Guide

Publish www.082sales.co.za today and get it into Google.

Domain used in this package: https://www.082sales.co.za. If you register a different domain, tell Claude and the package will be rebuilt with it (it appears in the Google tags, sitemap and robots file).

Part 1 – Put the website live (about 30 minutes)

1Register the domain. Buy 082sales.co.za (and ideally shelfsafe.co.za) from any South African registrar such as Domains.co.za, Afrihost, Xneelo or HostAfrica. Cost is roughly R100 per year each.
2Create a free Netlify account at app.netlify.com (sign up with Google or email).
3Upload the site. Unzip 082sales-website.zip. In Netlify choose Add new site → Deploy manually and drag the whole unzipped site folder onto the page. Netlify gives you a temporary address within a minute – open it and check the pages.
4Connect your domain. In Netlify: Domain management → Add a domain → type www.082sales.co.za. Netlify shows the DNS records to add (usually an A record for 082sales.co.za and a CNAME for www). Add them in your registrar's DNS settings. HTTPS switches on automatically, normally within an hour.
5Turn on enquiry emails. In Netlify: Site configuration → Forms → Enable form detection, then redeploy (drag the folder again). Under Forms → Form notifications, add an email notification to 082@usa.com (or any inbox). Both the partner and quick-enquiry forms will then email you every enquiry.

Using cPanel / your existing host instead? Upload everything inside the site folder to public_html with File Manager. The included .htaccess forces https://www, sets caching and the 404 page. Forms will not email on cPanel – visitors are offered WhatsApp, or ask Claude to switch the forms to a form service.

Part 2 – Get into Google (about 30 minutes)

6Google Search Console. Go to search.google.com/search-console → Add property → Domain → 082sales.co.za. Copy the TXT record into your DNS and click Verify. Then open Sitemaps and submit https://www.082sales.co.za/sitemap.xml. Use URL inspection → Request indexing for the home page and the five service pages.
7Google Business Profile. Go to business.google.com, add “082 Sales & Distribution”, category Marketing agency or Business to business service (add Logistics service as a second category), service area Gauteng / South Africa, phone +27 76 9999 199 and website https://www.082sales.co.za. Complete verification (video or postcard). Add the logo, team photo and the five services with their descriptions.
8Bing Webmaster Tools. At bing.com/webmasters, choose Import from Google Search Console – one click.

Part 3 – Connect the working tools

9Share the ShelfSafe register publicly. Open the ShelfSafe Register in Claude → Share → Anyone with the link. The website's “Check a store's certificate” buttons and every QR sticker point to it.
10Returns Control Portal for staff. The “Staff: open the Returns Control Portal” button opens the existing 082 Sales app in Claude. Share that app with your merchandisers (Contributor access).

Part 4 – Climb the rankings (ongoing)
